Live on every paid plan

See who is on your site,
and how they found you.

One 2 KB snippet gives you three things your analytics tool does not: which companies are visiting, which channel actually sent them - including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI assistants - and a feed with the bots filtered out. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no stored IP addresses.

What it does
  • + Matches visits to real companies and flags high-intent pages like pricing, security, and demo.
  • + Classifies every visit by channel: direct, search, social, referral, or AI assistant.
  • + Counts AI agents and crawlers separately so GPTBot never inflates your human numbers.
  • + Tracks up to five websites per account, each with its own key and its own dashboard filter.
  • + Feeds matched visits into the same ranked signal feed, Why Now, Slack, and email alerts.
What it does not do
  • - It does not claim to identify every anonymous visitor by name.
  • - It does not set cookies, fingerprint devices, or store IP addresses - ever.
  • - It does not mix bot traffic into your funnel to make the numbers look better.
  • - It stays account-first, explainable, and tied to action.

How it works

Step 1
Add one snippet

Grab your tracking snippet from Settings and paste it on your site. Under 2 KB, no cookies, and it pings at most once per page per visitor session - your site speed never notices.

Step 2
We match and classify

Each visit is resolved to the visiting company's network - by domain, never fuzzy name guessing - and classified by referrer channel. Bots and AI crawlers are counted on their own shelf, never in your human stats.

Step 3
The signal fires

"Northwind Health visited your pricing page" lands in the same feed as funding and hiring signals - scored, in the Why Now, and delivered to Slack, email, or your webhook. The channel breakdown updates on your dashboard the same day.

Honest fine print: company matching relies on the visitor's network, so it works best for mid-size and enterprise visitors that operate their own networks. Visitors on home, mobile, or shared ISP connections cannot be identified - by us or by anyone else. When this signal fires, it is real.

Every visit, classified by channel

Direct, search, social, referral, or AI assistant - with the exact referring sites and how many visits came from business networks.

Where your traffic comes from
Search 1,284 (214 business)
Direct 861 (157 business)
AI assistants 342 (96 business)
Social 219 (41 business)

Non-human traffic, excluded from everything above: 118 AI agent visits, 236 crawler visits.

Top referrers
google.com 1,102 views
chatgpt.com AI 241 views
linkedin.com 183 views
perplexity.ai AI 101 views
news.ycombinator.com 64 views

Your best channel is not a guess anymore. When a business-network visitor arrives from an AI assistant and lands on pricing, that is a buyer who already got the pitch.

The honest answer to "is ChatGPT sending us traffic?"

Google Analytics buries AI referrals under generic referral traffic. CapyScout separates the two things people actually mean by "AI traffic".

AI referrals
Humans arriving from AI assistants

Someone asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot for a recommendation and clicked through to you. These are real prospects, often deep in evaluation, and they get their own channel so you can watch it grow week over week.

AI agents
Bots reading your site for AI answers

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and friends crawling your content. We count them on a separate shelf - never in your human stats. Fine print: most AI crawlers do not run JavaScript, so treat this count as a floor, not a census.

One account, every site you run

Track up to five websites - your product site, your docs, a side project, a client - each with its own snippet key.

Clean separation

Every site gets its own key, so traffic never blends. No sub-accounts, no second subscription.

One dashboard

See all sites combined by default, or filter visitors, trends, and channels to a single site with one click.

Agency friendly

Running sites for clients? Give each its own snippet and report per-site AI and referral traffic without extra tooling.

Why this fits CapyScout

Account-first

It helps reps work known accounts better instead of buying another giant contact database.

Actionable

A pricing-page revisit matters only because it lands in the same scored feed as hiring, funding, and stack changes.

Credible

The promise stays believable: known-account intent, source-backed, and explainable.
