One credit is worth $0.01. Searching and chat are always free (up to your plan's monthly search cap). Credits are spent only on actions that produce data - enriching a company, verifying a work email, watching a business, or revealing a contact.
Always free: discovery search and chat, Why Now summaries, the feed and alerts, saving results to lists, and CSV export. When your credits run out, metered actions pause until your next cycle - never a surprise overage bill.
Watching 100 businesses uses 1,500 credits before you enrich anything. Working 50 new companies - enrich each one, then find and verify one contact at each - is another 700. That is 2,200 credits, so a month like that fits Growth, not Lite.

Less time researching. More time in real conversations.
Every plan buys back the same thing: the hours your team spends digging for context, and the replies you lose to cold, generic outreach. The AI preps the moment - your people make the connection.
Pricing questions
What am I paying for?
One thing: a monthly bundle of credits (1 credit = $0.01), plus a monthly cap of free discovery searches. Everything that produces data draws from your credit pool - enriching a company (1), verifying a work email (3), watching a business (15/mo, free during your trial), finding people (10 per person found), or revealing a phone (25, paid plans). Searching, chat, the feed, alerts, and saving to lists are all free.
What is a credit, and can I search as much as I want?
One credit is worth $0.01. Searching is free - discovery search or chat costs no credits. Your plan caps how many searches you can run each month, and each search returns up to 25 companies on the free trial, 100 on Lite, 150 on Growth, and 200 on Scale. Credits are spent only on actions that produce data: enrich a company (1), verify a work email (3), watch a business (15/mo, free during your trial), find people (10 per person found), reveal a phone (25, paid plans), or an auto deep-read local review (2). When your credits run out, those actions pause until your next cycle - never a surprise overage.
Do I need a data vendor subscription?
No. CapyScout enriches and scores each email using email quality checks, DNS/MX, website crawl, and tech-stack detection - plus an AI brief. No separate data-vendor bill or seat-based add-on.
How is this different from ZoomInfo or Apollo?
Those are databases: you search, export, and the data starts aging immediately. CapyScout is a watcher: you pick the accounts and the buying signals, and it checks the live web on a schedule, then tells you who to contact and why now, with the evidence attached. Many teams run CapyScout alongside a database - the database answers "who exists", CapyScout answers "who is ready".
What counts as a watched account?
One company on your watchlist that CapyScout monitors for your signals on your plan's cadence. Saving a company to a list, searching, or scoring an inbound email does not use a watched-account slot - only companies you actively monitor count. You can swap accounts in and out at any time.
Where do the signals come from - can I trust them?
Every signal hit links to its evidence - the job posting, news article, review, or page change that triggered it - so you can verify before you act. Nothing is a black box: if the evidence does not convince you, mark it not relevant and CapyScout learns from that feedback.
How many seats do I get?
All plans include unlimited seats with no per-seat fees. Everyone on the account shares the same credit pool, watchlist, and alerts. The REST API and MCP server are available from Lite up.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes are prorated to your current billing period.
Do I need to connect my email account?
No. CapyScout never asks for access to your inbox. When a draft is ready, one click opens it prefilled in the email service you already use - Gmail, Outlook, or your default mail app - and you hit send yourself. Sends come from your real address, which keeps deliverability, threading, and replies in your own mailbox. No OAuth grants, no scary permission screens.
Do you offer enterprise contracts?
Contact service@capyscout.com to discuss volume, support and security requirements. Custom capabilities and commitments must be confirmed in writing; they are not included automatically.
